Sentosa Express is a 2.1-kilometer monorail line connecting Sentosa Island and its various locations to HarbourFront Centre on the Singapore mainland. The line was built at a cost of S$140 million and was completed in December, 2006. The line opened with three stations on 15 January, 2007, with the fourth and presently final station, Waterfront, opening on 1 February, 2010.

The Sentosa Express can carry up to 4,000 passengers per hour on each direction. The line comprises dual tracks enabling two trains to pass in opposing directions.

The one-day fare for using the Sentosa Express is S$3.00. Called the Sentosa Pass, it allows unlimited rides on the Sentosa Express and entry into the island. The card can be purchased from automated ticketing machines at the Sentosa Express stations. You can pay for it by cash, credit card or even use the EZ-Link card.

The stations for the Sentosa Express are as follows:
  1. Sentosa Monorail Station
Despite its name, this is the station on the Singapore mainland, at HarbourFront. You can reach it by taking the North East Line or Circle Line to the HarbourFront MRT Station.

  2. Waterfront Monorail Station
This is the station serving Resorts World Sentosa. it is the newest of the stations on the monorail line.

  3. Imbiah Monorail Station
This station is located in the middle of Sentosa Island, next to the giant Merlion Statue of Sentosa. This is the station to disembark to visit Sentosa Luge & Skyride, Images of Singapore, Tiger Sky Tower, Sentosa 4D Magix, Butterfly Park and Singapore Cable Car.

  4. Beach Monorail Station
This is the fourth and final station. It is located between Siloso Beach and Palawan Beach. You will still need to transfer to trams to reach Siloso and Palawan beaches; the blue trams take you to Siloso Beach, the green ones take you to Palawan.
